Captain Jerome Hall entered eternal rest on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Washington County Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 12 Noon at New Birth Christian Ministries in Tennille, Georgia with interment in the Dixon Grove Church of God in Christ cemetery. Elder Patrick Wilson will officiate.
He was born on December 22, 1928 in Warthen, Georgia. Jerome was the only son of the late Sam and Nannie L. Miles. He attended the Public Schools in Washington County. Jerome was employed by the Washington County Sheriff Department on 1-17-1969. Other employment include Central Packing Co., Chief of Police for City of Tennille, City of Oconee, City of Harrison, City of Davisboro. Jerome surely had a passion for law enforcement.
On 10-24-1987, Jerome married Jean Arlie Bell who was the sunshine of his life. He always called her Sugar Babe.
AFFILIATIONS: At an early age he accepted the Lord as his personal Savior and became a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and later a member of Springfield Baptist Church. Jerome was also a member of Saint Andrew Lodge #32 and was a World War II Veteran. His favorite hobbies were fishing and being a mechanic.

Hurst Sr., Romie Hall of College Park, Bobby Hall of Atlanta, Bernice Cameron of Powder Spring, Annette Butts of Atlanta; sisters: Eunic Ivey of Atlanta, Lucille Hall of Sandersville, Mary Griffin of Atlanta; mother-in-law: Eula Mae Bell; brother & sisters-in-law: Charlie Mae Bryant of Tennille, Louis (Harriet) Bell of Warren, Ohio, Stephanie (Carl) Hudson of Macon, GA, June Bell of Riverdale, GA, J.W. Bell of Dublin, GA; 14 grandchildren including 4 devoted grandchildren Brandon Jerome Hurst of Evans, GA, Brittany Hurst, Cynekaue Harper and Antonio Hurst Jr. all of Sandersville, GA; several great grandchildren including 1 devoted, Ke'Asia Harper of Sandersville, GA; 3 devoted nephews: Tyrone Bell of Warner Robins, GA, Nicholas Bell and Riotreski Bell of Tennille, GA; 4 devoted great nieces and nephews: Kentravious Bell, Keegan Bell, Briane Bell and Aliyah Bell of Sandersville, GA; several other relatives and friends including Aaron Evans and family, Melvin Watkins, Doug Watkins, and Willie Fred Barnes.
