Mr. James Harden entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Clara-Minnie Memorial Chapel inside L.M. Pierce Funeral Home at 1 p.m. with interment in the Sandersville City Cemetery. Rev. Eric Adams will officiate.
Mr. James Harden was born to the late Mr. Will Harden and Mrs. Kate Wynn Harden on April 5, 1943 in Tennille, Washington County, Georgia.
At an early age, he joined the Samuel Grove Baptist Church in Tennille, Georgia where he attended until his health failed. He attended the public schools of Washington County. He worked for many years at Engelhard in Wilkinson County.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters: Lee Arthur Harden, Oscar Jackie Harden, Venice Lee Harden, Jimmy Lee Harden, Fred Harden, Otha Hood, Mary Lue Harden, Ola Collins and Annie Claude Rhodes.
Mr. Harden leaves to cherish is memories one son: Rev. Marque (Vickie) Harden of Tennille, GA; one daughter: Gwendolyn (Eddie) Cummings of Sandersville, GA; one brother: Roy Harden of Tennille, GA; three grandchildren: Xavier Harden of Tennille, GA; Tiffany Cummings of Milledgeville, GA and Eddie Jerome Cummings of Sandersville, GA; three step-daughters: Delois Cuyler and Sandra (Melvin) James of Tennille, GA and Vivian (L.M.) Pierce of Harrison, GA; one step-son: Theotis (Benita) Cuyler, Jr. of Dublin, GA; one aunt: Lille Eva Mullis of Tennille, GA; seven step-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
