Mr. Anthony LaKeith Wimbley passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at his residence in Atlanta, Georgia.  Funeral services were  held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Georgia Grove Baptist Church, 4574 Old Savannah Road, Tennille, Georgia,  at 11 a.m. with interment in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia.  


Mr. Anthony LaKeith Wimbley was born in Baldwin County Georgia.  The youngest child of Ernest “Richard” and Mattlyn Wimbley.  


He joined Friendship Baptist Church in Milledgeville, Georgia at an early age.  He graduated from Washington County High School with the Class of 1989.  He joined the US Army in 1990 and he served in the Desert Storm.   He studied at Georgia Military College.  He was a member a masonic lodge at the time of death.  Anthony was employed with the Department of Veteran Affairs in Atlanta, Georgia.  He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.


His memories will be forever cherished by his parents Ernest “Richard” and Mattlyn Wimbley, Sr. of Tennille, GA; one daughter, Kierra Nicole Wimbley of Baldwin County; one brother, Ernest Wimbley, Jr. of Tennille, GA; one sister, Faye Dixon of Sandersville, GA; one adopted brother, Steve (Dent) Williams of Baldwin County; one grandmother, Elouise Burney of Tennille, GA; eight aunts:  Louise (Matthew) Roberson, Mary Renfroe, Janice Anderson, Peggy Purdy, Mamie Lou (Harold) Hicks, Mammie Lee Scott, Mary (Rick) Wiley, Brenda (Frankie) Wiggins; five uncles:  Alton Renfroe, Rogers Wimbley, Sr., Willie Freshley; a special friend Vince (Christine) McPherson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
