Timothy Lee Burnett

Mr. Timothy Lee Burnett of Wrightsville, Georgia entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at his residence.  

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Samuel Grove Baptist Church in Tennille, Georgia at 2 p.m. with interment in the Church Cemetery.  Rev. Eric Adams will officiate.

Mr.  Burnett was born on December 13, 1957 in Washington County, Georgia to the parentage of Mrs. Geneva Gregory and the late Mr. Jimmy Lee Burnett.

He was a faithful member and Deacon of Samuel Grove Baptist Church in Tennille, Georgia.  Mr. Burnett was joined in holy matrimony to Mrs. Lillie Ruth Burnett for 22 years. 

He worked at Jean Brantley Farm in Wrightsville, Georgia for 14 years.  He loved to barbeque, fish, sing, and dance.  He was one of the dancers on Soul Train.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mrs. Lillie Burnett of Wrightsville, GA; daughter:  Gabriel Simpson of Wadley, GA; son:  Alfonzon Gilmore of Wadley, GA; brothers:  Willie (Regina) Burnett of Melbourne, FL, Otis Burnett, Nathan (Angela) Burnett of Tennille, GA; sisters:  Annie (James) Cason, Bernice (Milton) Lawrence, Jeannette Daniels of Tennille, GA; brothers-in-law:  Elder Ernest (Barbara) L. Brown and David Brown of Sandersville, GA; sisters-in-law:  Prophetess Annie Hood, Mary Ann (Berry) Gladdin, Apostle Peggy (Alvin) Gilbert, Pastor Gloria (JW) Barnes of Sandersville, GA; grandchildren:  TaYonna Simpson and Jakali Neal of Wadley, GA; aunts:  Ms. Lizzie Mae Purvey of Tennille, GA, Oretha (Eddie) Dudley of Macon, GA, Mrs. Lillie (Clifford) Duckworth; uncles:  Richard Pierce of Macon, GA, Manus (Dorothy) Pierce of Boston, MA, Leonard Pierce of Sandersville, GA; godbrother: Douglas Elliot of North Carolina; best friends:  Mr. Michael Brantley of Wrightsville, GA and Mr. Gene Hall of Harrison, GA; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
