Stewart Winston Merrell, Sr.

Mr. Stewart W. Merrell, Sr. of Tennille, Georgia entered eternal rest on Monday, July 26, 2022 at Memorial Health in Savannah, Georgia.  Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Smith Grove Baptist Church.  Minister Shanona Merrell Settles will officiate. 

He was born on January 5, 1944, to Viola (Merrell) Kelsey and George Daniels.  Mr. Merrell's hobbies included fishing, mechanical work, watching games shows and The Western Channel.  Mr. Merrell was Mason and belonged to Hiram 43 Int’l Masons Miami, FL.  Mr.  Merrell was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Merrell; one brother Henry Kelsey; one sister Sarah Joe Zeigler; one son: Demetric Coleman and one grandson: RaShawn Merrell.

Merrell, Jr. of Dublin, GA, Anthony Merrell (Shonda) of Jonesboro, GA, Shanona (Allen) Settles of Sandersville, GA, Stewart Antwon Merrell of Stockton, CA, Iralanette (Justin) Cheely of Harrison, GA, Brandon Merrell of Macon, GA, Brandy Merrell of Gordon, GA, Bryant (Martha) Merrell of Dublin, GA, Brittany Merrell of Dublin, GA, Breshonda (Garrison) Payne of East Dublin, GA, Branenia Merrell of Sandersville, GA, Henry Merrell of Irwinton, GA, Jameisha Porter of Dublin, GA and Shondra Porter of Cochran, GA; sisters: Addie (Paul) Green of Milledgeville, GA, Delores Ricks of Paduca, KY, Wayma Owens, Annetta Allen and Vernetta Rucker; brothers: Robert Kelsey of Sandersville, GA, Steve (Gussie) Kelsey of Milledgeville, GA, George Owens, Mark Owens,  David Daniel and Donald Daniel all of  Warren, OH; 36 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; devoted cousins: Sammie Merrell and Adrian Davis (Barbara); devoted friend: Ms. Terry Coleman; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation at the funeral home on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 12 noon until 6 p.m.
