On Thursday June 15, 2023, at Heritage Inn Nursing Home an angel whispered and said my dear child its time to come home and take your rest. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Dixon Grove Church of God in Christ as 12 noon. Interment will followed immediately in the Dixon Grove Church Cemetery.
She was born April 16, 1932, in Washington County Georgia to the late Sunnie Bouyer and Henry Bouyer.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Richard Merrell Sr, one brother Marion Hurst, three sisters Alma Cason, Susie Brown and Eula Mae Bell.
She was a homemaker, babysitter, wonderful cook, especially her good biscuits, fried chicken, sweet potato pies and much more.
Willie Ruth was a member of Dixon Grove Church of God in Christ, where she joined at an early age and gave her life to Christ. She served on the Usher board, served as a Mother of the church until her health declined. She was also an amazing singer.
She leaves to cherish her memories five lovely and devoted children’s.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Clara Minnie Memorial Chapel inside L.M. Pierce Funeral Home.
