Obituary

Mr. Marvin Cato departed this life on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Washington County Regional Medical Center of Sandersville, Georgia.  Graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 1 p.m. from the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church cemetery.  Rev. Roy Grissom will officiate.  

Mr. Cato was born May 27, 1972 in Augusta, Georgia.  He was the first born of Sarah Mae Jones and Bennie Poole, Sr. of Sandersville, Georgia.

During his lifetime, he was a free spirit.  He visited numerous states and learned a lot along the way.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Etta Mae Young Cato; maternal aunt, Mrs. Linda Mae Smith and paternal uncle Mr. Alton Stephens (“Duck”).

Mr. Cato leaves to cherish his memory his mother Sarah Jones; father:  Bennie Poole, Sr., both of Sandersville, GA; a sister Rakita Jones; nephew Montavious Butts; niece:  Jakita Murray all of Atlanta, GA; two children: Markaylee Cato and Kevis Mack both of Sandersville, GA; two brothers:  Christopher Poole and Bennie Poole, Jr. both of Sandersville, GA; grandmother, Gladys Poole; grandfather, Hubert Lee Cato and a host of relatives and friends.
