Maggie Tarver Townsend

Mrs. Maggie Jackson Tarver Townsend entered eternal rest on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Renaissance Nursing Home in Griffin, Georgia.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Clara-Minnie Memorial Chapel of L.M. Pierce Funeral Home.   Interment will be in the Sandersville City Cemetery.   Evangelist Peggy Parker will officiate.  

Mrs. Maggie was born May 4, 1933 to the late Colonel Jackson and Mrs. Minnie Jackson. 

She is preceded in death by five brothers:  Milo Jackson, John Jackson, Millard Jackson, Weldon Jackson and Jessie Jackson; four sisters:  Mrs. Donnie Morgan, Mrs. Lois Robinson, and Mrs.  Ethel Kemp.

Mrs. Maggie served as a faithful mother at Victorious Living Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Donald L. Tarver. 

She is survived by one son,  Bishop Donald L Tarver; daughter-in-law: First Lady Essie B. Tarver; seven grandchildren:  Patricia Middlebrooks, Herbert Fraley, Donald Tarver, Delores Taylor, Tiana Combs, Marcellus Tarver, Joseph Tarver; and a host of great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
