Mablean Prosser, age 91, passed away quietly on Monday, September 25, 2023, at her residence. Funeral service will be held on Saturday,, September 30, 3023 at 12 noon from the Brundage Mount Baptist Church in McIntyre, Georgia with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 1 to 6 p.m. The body will be placed in the church on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. for viewing until the time of the service.
She was born on May 10, 1932, to the late Idella Chapman and Lucious Wells. Mable attended the Brundage Mount Public School. She was a member of Brundage Mount Baptist Church where she served until her death.
On March 20, 1948, Mable married her loving and caring husband of sixty-three years Oather (Sam) Prosser (predeceased). To this union, they loved and raised fifteen children, Rosemary, Mary, Loretta, Billy, Samuel, Delois, Tonia, Arthur, Veronica, adopted son Arthur Prosser; Predeceased are Sam, Linda, Tony, Cassandra, Rosemarie.
Her precious memories shall be cherished and celebrated by those whose lives she loved and touched: six daughters: Rose (Xavier) Hands, Mary Cowan, Drs. Loretta (Leroy) Graham, Deloris Prosser, Tonia Prosser (Don), Veronica (retired CSM Dwayne) Tigs; three sons: Billy (Sandra) Prosser, Samuel (Louise) Prosser, Arthur (Linda) Prosser, adopted son Arthur “AJ” Prosser; daughter-in-law, Leslie Prosser; a devoted grandson and granddaughter: Lee Antwan Smith and Tracie Prosser; god daughters: Flossie Harden and Annie Lou Howell; 70 grandchildren and 75 great-grandchildren; a devoted brother and sister-in-law: Thomas (Ida) Wells; three sisters: Pauline Wells, Irene Wells, and Carolyn Wells, brother, Willie Wells (predeceased), and host of nieces, nephews, countless other family and friends.
