Mrs. Lillie Ree Kemp entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at her residence. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 2 p.m. from Middle Hill Baptist Church. Bishop Otis L. Kemp will officiate. Interment will be in Middle Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Lillie Ree Kemp was born to the late Mrs. Anna Mae Thomas and Mr. John Thomas, Sr. She was born on January 22, 1931.
She was preceded in death by her soul mate, Mr. Lee Arthur Kemp, Sr., four brothers: Mr. J.W. Thomas, Mr. John Thomas Jr., Mr. George Thomas, Mr. Jessie Lee Thomas, and grandson Mr. Delvecckio S. Thomas.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who always lent a helping hand carrying for children from a young age until her later years. She was the Mother of the Church, Middle Hill Baptist Church since December 1, 2019. She was known in the church for her dedication in the amen corner, well-dressed with her stylish hats. She enjoyed gospel music at Middle Hill Baptist Church, especially when Mr. Shawn Thomas played his instruments.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters: Ms. Linda Thomas of Warthen, GA; Ms Verian Kemp, Sandersville, GA; Mrs. Patricia Denise (Norman A. III) Hill, Waldorf, MD; four sons: Mr. Lee Arthur Jr. (Johnnie Mae) Kemp, Douglasville, GA; Mr. Marvin (Barbara Ann) Kemp, Warthen, GA; Mr. Gerald Anthony (LaTonia Yvonne) Kemp, Newnan, GA; Mr. Dexter Pernell (Dorothy Jean) Kemp, Sandersville, GA; four sisters: Ms. Millerene Thomas, Sandersville, GA; Mrs. Elizabeth (David) Sanders, Sandersville, GA; Ms. Vassie Hatcher, Sandersville, GA; Ms. Annie Julie Johnson, Tennille, GA; 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren 9 great, great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
