Christopher Charles Johnson

Christopher Charles Johnson, affectionately known as “Chris”, departed this earthly life for his eternal rest on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, encircled by his devoted family.  Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Pierce Family Cemetery, 739 Pierce Circle, East Dublin, Georgia.  Rev. E. Neal Dixon will officiate.  

The second of three children, Christopher Charles Johnson, was born on April 21, 1973 in Birmingham, (Jefferson County), Alabama to the loving union of Charles Edward Johnson and Caldonia Pierce Johnson. 

Christopher Charles accepted Christ at an early age being baptized in the Catholic faith.  A native of Alabama, he attended W.P. Davidson High School in Jackson, Alabama.  Upon graduation, he continued his studies in business with a concentration in accounting at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama where he resided until migrating to Atlanta, Georgia where he worked at the Georgia Dome, now known as the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Christopher  was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Johnson; his paternal grandparents, Willie Oliver Johnson and Annie Dell Peoples Johnson and his maternal grandparents:  J.B. Pierce and Clara Bell Kelley Pierce.

He leaves to hold dear in his loving memory his mother, Caldonia Pierce; sister, Charlene Denise Johnson; a brother, Christian Edward Johnson; a devoted niece, Christina Olivia Johnson; and a nephew, Christian Edward Johnson, Jr.  He also leaves to lament a loving aunt, Fronie Ann Pierce Smith; two uncles, Lee Mack (Linda) Pierce, Sr. and Atheal Pierce; and a myriad of cousins, aunts, uncles and many dear friends.
