Charlie H. Dixon

Mrs. Charlie H. Dixon affectionately known as Cha entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.  Graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Garden, Hwy 24 East, Sandersville, Georgia.  Apostle Dynetta Worthen will officiated.  

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Dorothy “Bay” Hilson.

Cha was joined in holy matrimony to James Dixon, Sr. on April 1, 1994.  She was also a member of Mt. Zion AME Church.

Mrs. Dixon was born October 27, 1951 in Washington County, Sandersville, Georgia.  She was a 1970 graduate of T.J. Elder High School.

Mrs. Dixon leaves to cherish her fond memories her husband of 27 years James Dixon Sr.; step children: James Dixon Jr. Ashley Dixon, and Colby Dixon; sisters:  Bernice Easterling and Tammy Hilson; brother:  L.M. (Vivian) Pierce Jr.; nieces:  Amory “Shay: Evans, Tiara Johnson, India Jackson, Michelle Hilson (Rita), Terricka Wilcher; nephew: Anthony Hilson; devoted great niece:  Shabreka Evans (David); aunts:  Rita Braswell, Vatie (Charles) Latimore, Carolyn (Gregory) Knight, Wynonia Melson, Darlener Hilson; god daughter:   Jaquanna Brookins; God Sister:  Barbara Cumming; extended family:  The Macks; a host of devoted cousins, other relatives and friends.
