Arthur Cason, Jr.

Mr. Arthur Cason, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Samuel Grove Baptist Church in Tennille, Georgia at 11 o'clock.  Interment will be in the Samuel Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Mr. Cason was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Arthur Cason, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mattie Pearl Scott on September 13, 1957 in Wrightsville, Georgia. 

Mr. Cason graduated from Dock Kemp School in 1976 and was employed  (previously) at C.T. Harris for 26 years and retired from Sellars Construction in November of 2023, where he was employed for 17 years. 

He was a member of Ranger Grove COGIC in Wrightsville, Georgia and he attended Samuel Grove Baptist Church in Tennille, Georgia. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Cason, Sr., mother, Mattie Pearl Scott; sisters, Winnie Harden and Frances Harris; brothers John L. Scott and Harvey Cason; and granddaughter, A’trevia Davis.

Mr. Cason leaves to mourn his wife of 39 years, Annie R. Cason of Tennille, Georgia; two sons:  Keldrick Cason of Dublin, Georgia and Derrick (Benita) Cason of Ellabell, Georgia; one daughter he raised as his own, Kendra Burnett of Tennille, Georgia; eleven adorable grandchildren:  Zataurus Williford, Denija Lovell, Dakota Cason, Brooklynn Cason, Chelsea Cason, Za’Kiyahian Cason, Kalani Cason, Paris Cason, Khloe Cason, Kade Wadley and Dervin Cason; four loving and caring sisters:  Betty Waters of Dublin, Georgia, Mazell Murray of Sandersville, Georgia, Evelyn Cason and Melvinia Horne both of Wrightsville, Georgia; two outstanding brothers:  Wannie Cason of Wrightsville, Georgia and Wyman Cason of Lake City, Florida; a devoted mother-in-law, Geneva Gregory of Tennille, Georgia; one aunt, Winnie Johnson of Wrightsville, Georgia; four sisters-in-law:  Bernice Lawrence, Jeanette Burnett, Agnes Cason and Lillie Burnett; four brothers-in-law:  Mr. Willie (Regina) Burnett of Palm Bay, Florida, Mr. Nathan (Angela) Burnett, Mr. Otis Burnett and Mr. Milton Lawrence; two devoted nieces:  Harvetta Cason and Maisha Burnett; devoted friends:  Phillip Duty, Sandra Duty, Frank Lewis, and Randolph Walker; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will be receiving visitors at 13047 GA Hwy 68 South, Tennille, Georgia.
