September 23, 2020 Mr. Zackie Canty, Jr. , age 67, of Tennille, Georgia departed this life on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Smith Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Roy Grissom will officiate. He was born on September 17, 1953 to Zackie and Ethel Canty, Sr. in Washington County, Georgia. He attended the public schools of Washington County. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Canty was preceded in death by his parents, Zackie and Ethel Canty, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Ethel Canty; children: Darrick Canty, Antonio Peeler, Zackie Canty III, Michael Canty, Reginald Canty and Tiffany Peeler all 0f Tennille, Georgia; adopted grandson: Damonquavious Peeler; four sisters: Ethel Porch of Tifton, GA, Mattie (Isaac) Bivins of Harrison, GA, Mattie O'Neal Taylor of Macon, GA, Ruth Gordon of Tennille, GA; three brothers: Thomas (Arline) Canty of Tennille, GA, Bobby Lee Youngblood of Atlanta, GA, Bernard (Nancy) Gordon of Calhoun, GA; brother-in-law: Randy (Catrina) Peeler of Tennille, GA; sister-in-law: Catherine Peeler of Tennille, GA; devoted grandchildren: TiAsia Graham, Kristasia Graham, Harmonie Peeler, Maurice Graham, and Tonquavious Peeler; god son: Anthony Norris, 21 grandchildren; devoted niece: Tammy Peeler; devoted friends: Lucious & Kimberly Jones and Jessica Darrisaw; host of other relatives and friends.
