Mr. William Merrell, Jr.

March 28, 2017 God called William Merrell, Jr. home at Augusta University Medical Center. He was born on April 8, 1938 to the parentage of the late William Merrell, Sr. and Addie Pierce Merrell . He attended school at New Gardners Church and Rosenwall High School in Toomsboro, Georgia. He moved to Miami in 1958 and later relocated back to Georgia in 2001. Mr. Merrell worked as a construction worker, he was a welder and truck driver. He loved killing hogs, making sausage, making cabinets and grills. Mr. Merrell leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife Dorothy Walker of Tennille, Georgia; five children: Dorothy (Leonard Jr.) May, Leon (Linda Jean) Merrell, Ricky Merrell, Danny Merrell and William Lee (Janet) Merrell all of Tennille, Georgia; one sister: Jessie R. Davis of Toomsboro, Georgia; grandchildren: Shanice Norris, Christopher May, Marcus Eagle, Cedric Eagle, Kimberly Merrell, Rhonda Merrell, Allen Merrell, Brad Harper, Shaneva Merrell of Miami, Florida, Ricky Merrell, Jr. of Miami, Florida, Octavious Merrell of Dublin, Georgia, Areyanna Merrell, Khylan Merrell, Xavier Merrell, Rashad Tallington, Robert Merrell, Keyundra Merrell; five sisters-in-law: Willie Ruth Merrell of Tennille, Georgia; Genell Merrell, Willie Pearl Darrisaw, Annie Ruth Gregory of Sandersville, Georgia and Ella Mae Merrell of Oconee, Georgia; a devoted nephew: Steward Merrell of Tennille, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and others who have shared his life.
