Nathan Harris, Jr.

Mr. Nathan Harris, Jr. of Tennille, Georgia transitioned peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2024 at his residence.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Georgia Grove Baptist Church.  Interment will be in the Georgia Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Roy Grissom will officiate.

He was born June 18, 1950 to the parentage of the late Nathan Harris, Sr. and Evelyn Brown White.

Nathan is a graduate of T.J. Elder High School class of 1968.  He attended Georgia Military College until he was drafted into the US Army.  He worked for WF Jackson Construction Company and retired after 34 years of service.

He was preceded in death by the following siblings:  Pearlie Mae Martin, Leotis Blocker, Johnny Harris, Sr., Earl Jordan, Tony Jordan and Michael Jones.

Nathan leaves to cherish is memories his wife, Shirley Harris; children:  Tomekia Jordan, Suferior Jordan (William Hagans), Bridget Jordan Lowe (Anjuan Lowe), and Mario Brantley Harris; grandchildren:  Jada Jordan, Heaven Hagans, Eryn Lowe, Anna Lowe; great granddaughter:  Raine Roberts; sisters and brothers:  Sammie Lee (Jeannette) Blocker, Mary Coverdale, Patty Armstrong, Lucious Jones, Randy Jones,  and Regina Jones, other relatives and friends.

Family will receive family and friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
