Ms. Marilyn A. Butts

Ms. Marilyn (Mera) Johnson-Butts departed her life on April 17, 2020 at her residence. A private graveside service for immediate family will be held in the Sandersville City Cemetery. She was born on January 11, 1954 to Bessie Taylor-Jordan of Sandersville, Georgia and the late Freddie L. Johnson. Marilyn was a 1972 graduate of Washington County High. Caring for the elderly was her calling and she truly enjoyed that. Her greatest joy was her five grands. She was preceded in death by her father, Rogers J. Jordan and a brother, Fredrick Jordan. Marilyn leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters: Christy Butts of Tennille, GA and Tiajuana Butts of Sandersville, GA; mother, Bessie Jordan of Sandersville, GA; two maternal brothers: Mathol (Barbara) Jordan and Greg Jordan both of Sandersville, GA; seven paternal sisters, 4 paternal brothers; five grandchildren: McKale Butts of Sandersville, GA, Kiandra Jackson of Tennille, GA, Omarion Butts of Tennille, GA, Alexander Smith of Tennille, GA and Jordynn Butts of Sandersville, GA; one devoted niece: Candace Jordan; two devoted nephews: Darance (Megan) Jordan of Perry, GA, Trecorrus (Kristy) Jordan of Texas; one aunt, Helen (George) James of Tennille, GA; two uncles: Willie F. Taylor of Sandersville, GA, Charles (Tricia) Taylor of Milledgeville, GA; three devoted friends: Patricia Brown, Sandersville, GA, Carolyn Reynolds, Davisboro, GA and Marylene (Mel) Bell of Atlanta, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.
