Mrs. Lena B. Carswell

Mrs. Lena B. Carswell departed this life on Sunday, June 2, 2019 in Dublin, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. in the Clara-Minnie Memorial Chapel inside L.M. Pierce Funeral Home with interment in the Sandersville City Cemetery. Pastor Victor Cuyler will officiate. She was born July 1, 1941 to the late Isadore Burden and Alfonzy Reeves Burden in Washington County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by six brothers: Henry Burden, John Lee Burden, Willie Lee Burden, Tommy Lee Burden, Jimmy Burden and Isadore Burden, Jr. and one sister: Lily Mae Burden. Mrs. Carswell leaves to cherish her many memories five (5) daughters: Annie Mae (Eddie) Moye and Alfonzy Dixon of Harrison, GA, Mary Ann Carswell of Sandersville, GA, Ruby (Ostell) Arline of Wrightsville, GA and Naomi (Emanuel) Sanders of Newnan, GA; six (6) sons: Willie Dixon of Augusta, GA, Arthur Lee (Melissa) Dixon of Sandersville, GA, Melvin Carswell of Harrison, GA, Tommy (Sheryl) Carswell of Sandersville, GA, Marion (Stepane) Carswell of Wrightsville, GA and McKendrell Carswell of Sandersville, GA; one sister: Willie Kate Dixon of Tennille, Georgia, eighteen (18) grandchildren, six (6) great grandchildren; three (3) devoted friends: Larry Scott, Naomi Brown and Bobbie Jean Meredith and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
