Jennie Lou Bryant

Mrs. Jennie Lou Bryant entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.  Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Hatcher officiating.  Interment will be in the Sandersville City Cemetery.

She was the daughter of the late Carlos Hurst and the late Millie Lou Hurst. She was born on August 21, 1939 in Washington County, Georgia. She worked at the Senior Citizen Center. She was married to the late Earnest Bryant. At an early age, she became a member of Ohoopee Baptist Church. Jennie loved fishing and spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Bryant was preceded by three of her siblings: Carlos Hurst, Jr., Annie Hurst, and Willie Hurst: her children: Earnest Bryant, Jr., Kenneth Bryant and Betty Hurst Clark.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Edwin Hurst, Bernard Bryant, and Tony Bryant; a niece: Mary McClendon of Greensboro, GA; an uncle: Miller Peacock; son-in-law: Wiley Clark; daughter-in-law: Betty Bryant; 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; a special devoted caregiver, Delois Cuyler; a host of other relatives and friends.
