James Benjamin Walker was called from labor to reward on April 24, 2017 at Pine Point Hospice in Macon, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Litter Rogers CME Church in Macon, Georgia. Reverend Benjamin Tolbert will officiate. James Benjamin Walker was born April 1, 1945 to Willie C. Walker and Thelma Chambliss Walker. He was a graduate of Hubbard High School, Class 1964 in Monroe County, GA. James was employed at Warner Robins Air Force Base as an Aircraft Mechanic. He retired in 2007. One son, James Benjamin Walker, Jr., affectionately known as Ricky, preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Barbara Jean Walker; four sons, Christopher Todd Walker, Michael Mitchell, Tony Mitchell, and Jarvis Robinson; siblings, Florence Simmons, Josephine Moss, Lillie Harvey, Gladys Harris, Beatrice Mallory, George Walker, Freddie Walker, Solomon Walker and Rose Lee Collins; sisters-in-law, Linda (Lee M. Sr.) Hart-Pierce, Glenda (Michael) Davis, Lavonia Dixon, Brenda Hart, Cherry Walker and Linda Walker, Ocie Walker; brothers-in-law, Tommy (Cherrie) Hart, Buford Mallory and Paul Collins and Amos Harvey, Jr.; nine grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces. Wake: Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Little Rogers CME Church located at 9754 Thomaston Road/Hwy 74, Macon, Georgia from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. L.M. Pierce Funeral Home in Sandersville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
