James W Dixon, Sr.

Mr. James W. Dixon, Sr., age 68, predominantly known as "JW" passed away peacefully  on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at the Washington County Regional Medical Center.  Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, 6479 GA Highway 24 East, Sandersville, Georgia.   He was born on June 26, 1955, in Swainsboro Ga, to J.D. Dixon and Alneter Dixon.

He was a graduate from Swainsboro High. He worked as a sales manager at Pitts Toyota for 30+years and later retired. He also owned his own business, D & H Snacks. James truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his wife Charlye Dixon, his mother Alneter Dixon and his brother Larry Easterling.

James is lovingly survived by his son James (Pam) Dixon Jr. of Beaufort, SC; his son Jacobe Dixon and daughter Ashley Dixon, both of Swainsboro, Ga; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grand Brielle Dixon; his father J.D Dixon; his loving Aunt Juanita Worthen, of Swainsboro Ga; two sisters:  Kimbly Dixon and Tracy Kirkland, both of Swainsboro Ga and sisters-in- law: Deborah Easterling of Jacksonville, FL, Bernice Easterling and Tammy Hilson both of Sandersville Ga; and all his nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
