Emma Poole Reeves

Mrs. Emma Poole Reeves departed this life at the age of 91 at her residence on Holmes Cannery Road, Tennille, Georgia.   Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 12 noon at Faith Apostolic Church, 140 Knight Lane, Tennille, Georgia with interment in the Brownwood Cemetery.

Ms. Emma Lee Poole Reeves was born on May 19, 1934 to the late Mr. Leroy Poole, Sr. and Mrs. Eva Mae Poole.  Ms. Reeves attended the Washington County Public schools. She is best known for serving God and giving Him praises.

Ms. Reeves was married to the late Lee Arthur Reeves and together they had a total of 7 children.  Ms. Reeves joined Faith Apostolic Church at an early age. She served faithfully and was the Mother of the Church.

She was proceeded in death by one son: Willie Poole, four brothers: Lenzy Poole, Leroy Poole, Jr., William Poole and Ennis Poole, Sr.

Ms. Reeves leaves to cherish her memories her children: two daughters: Eva Reeves and Elaine (Patrick) Holland of Tennille, GA; three sons: Grady Reeves of Tennille, GA, Kenneth (Melanese) Reeves of Sandersville, GA, Ronnie (Nita) Reeves of Atlanta, GA; one step daughter, Sadie Reeves of Myrtle Beach, SC. She also leaves one sister, Eloise (Raymond) Velez of Fayetteville, GA; three brothers: Benny (Grace) Poole of New York, Johnny Poole of Iowa, and Tommy (Fleeta) Poole of Tennille, GA. She also leaves to cherish a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
