Mrs. Doretha Bell departed this life on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Georgia Grove Baptist Church in Tennille, Georgia with interment will be in Georgia Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Rev. Roy Grissom will officiate.
She was born October 31, 1922 to the late Mr. Charlie and Alberta Johnson Francis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Willie Lee Bell; her sons: Willie Frank Jordan, Sammie Lee Curry, John Allen Curry; daughter, Ellaree Jones; sisters: Helen Miller, Hattie Brown, Roberta Francis and Annie Thornton.
Mrs. Bell leaves to cherish her memory daughters: Virgie Tucker (Milton Toliver), Annie Smith (Tremayne Smith), Hattie Pearl Miller (Johnny Miller), Dorothy Kitchen (Willie James Kitchens), Anne Minor; sons: Arthur Curry (Katherine Curry) and Calvin Curry (Vernida Curry); Willie James Fraley, Shirley Harris, Renita Hines and Shanekqua Jackson that she raised as her own;; a host of granchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great, great-great-great grandchildren; devoted friends: Gail Hurst, Sylvia Wimberly, Teresa Johnson, Lois Walden, Mary Bryant and Juanita Hurst; just like a daughter, Kimberly Jones.
Family is receiving friends at 189 McCoy Court, Tennille, Georgia.
