Mrs. Callie Brinson of Sandersville, Georgia transitioned on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Smith Medical Nursing Center. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Union Hill Baptist Church at 3 p.m. with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Benjamin Martin will officiate.
She was born on July 1, 1943, in Washington County, Georgia, to the late Lena Mae Walker and Willie B. Temple.
Ms. Brinson was a faithful and longtime member of Union Hill Baptist Church, where she worshipped until her health began to decline. She devoted 28 years of dedicated service to the Washington County Regional Medical Center before retiring.
In her leisure time, Callie enjoyed fishing, watching her favorite television stories, and following wrestling matches, with John Cena being her favorite wrestler. Above all else, she cherished her family and loved them unconditionally.
Ms. Callie Brinson leaves to cherish and honor her loving memory two children, Maxine (Roy) Latimer and Freddie Fleming, both of Sandersville, Georgia; four others whom she raised as her own: Mary Ann Brinson, Roderick Brinson, Demetriae (Keith) Reeves and Ashley Brinson, all of Sandersville, Georgia; one sister, Stella Walker of Tennille, Georgia; grandchildren, Jarvis Fleming, Stargell (Kristen) Jones, Kayla (Dylan) Brinson‑Schwab, Kalvin Brinson, Olivia Brinson, and Kendrick Brinson; great‑grandchildren, Gracien Schwab, Gracelynn Mae Schwab, Kai L. Jones, and Stella L. Jones; devoted cousins, Helen Taylor and Jimmy Brinson; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
