On Sunday, December 8, 2019, God whispered "Well done My good and faithful servant" and Mr. Broderick A. Walker, affectionately known as "Scooter", closed his eyes for the final time. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 2:30 p.m . at Springfield Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Sandersville City Cemetery. Rev. Calvin Hatcher will officiate. He was born on June 30, 1985 to Ms. Betty Ann Walker. Broderick was a faithful member of Highland Park Church. He graduated from Washington County High School with the class of 2003. In his spare time he enjoyed working on cars, grilling and spending time with his family and friends. He was a huge fan of the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia Bulldogs. Broderick worked for Castleberry's Lawn Service for many years before embarking on a career of truck driving. He drove for several years before beginning to work for the Georgia Department of Transportation. He will be missed by all who knew him. The man with the gentle smile and big heart who was always there for his loved ones. Mr. Walker leaves cherished memories to his loving and devoted wife: Mrs. Cherrelle Walker, Sandersville, GA; two daughters: Little Miss Averie Walker, Little Miss Aubree Rice, Sandersville, GA; mother: Ms. Betty Ann Walker, Sandersville, GA; three brothers: Mr. David (Latrina) Walker, Milledgeville, GA, Mr. Brandon (Alexis) McDonald, Sparta, GA, Mr. Daiquan (Felecia) Walker, Sandersville, GA; one sister: Mrs. Shoney (Michael) Scott, Sandersville, GA; mother-in-law: Ms. Joanne Ellison, Sandersville, GA; one sister-in-law: Ms. Amber Ellison, St. Augustine, FL; one brother-in-law: Mr. Durelle (Kayla) Ellison, Palm Coast, FL; eight aunts: Mrs. Mary Helen (Wilbur) Dawson, Mrs. Susie Herron, Ms. Ida Ruth Gindraw, Mrs. Dorothy Jean (Vonion) Heggs, Louisville, GA, Mrs. Mae (Kevin) Jacobs, Ms. Barbara Hatcher, Mrs. Marcella (James) Neal, Ms. Betty Sue Bryant; seven uncles: Mr. Aaron Evans (Georgia), Mr. J.D. Duggan, Mr. Frank Hatcher, Mr. Jimmy (Janice) Hatcher, Mr. Calvin (Gwennie) Hatcher, Mr. Terry (Alfreda) Hatcher, Mr. Joe Jerome (Demetria) Hatcher, Suwannee, GA; god-son: Mr. Jamori Lester; devoted cousin: Mr. Nicholas Johnson; five nephews, one niece; devoted friend, Mr. Leo Watts; a host of other relatives and friends.
