Ms. Bessie Elizabeth Taylor Jordan transitioned on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at her residence. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 1 p.m. at New Birth Christian Ministries in Tennille, Georgia. Interment will be in the Sandersville City Cemetery.
She was born to the late Albert L. Taylor, Sr. and Euretha Braddy -Taylor on October 30, 1935.
She was a 1954 graduate of T.J. Elder High School. She then pursued a career in Cosmetology while working at Royal Manufactory. She was a proud employee of the Washington County Board of Education until she retired.
Bessie was preceded in death by six of her siblings, her husband: Rogers N. Jordan, Jr.; her son: Fredrick Jordan; and her daughter, Marilyn A. Butts.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sons: Mathol (Barbara) Jordan and Gregory Jordan, both of Sandersville, Georgia; two siblings: Helen (George Sr.) James of Tennille, Georgia and Charles A. Taylor of Sandersville, Georgia; five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and three great -great grandchildren; a devoted friend, Joy Pendry of Sandersville, Georgia and a host of other relatives and friends.
