Mr. Ernest L. Wimbley Sr. was called from labor to reward on September 26, 2017 at Washington County Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Georgia Grove Missionary Baptist Church with interment in the Rest Haven Cemetery. Rev. W. Roy Grissom will officiate. Mr. Ernest L. Wimbley Sr. was born in Washington County Georgia on September 7, 1943. He joined the Georgia Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He was an ordained Deacon of the Georgia Grove Baptist Church. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and church family. On Tuesday, September 19, 2017, Mrs. Eva Lene Jackson was called home to be with the Lord at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Oconee, Georgia at 1 p.m. with Rev. Eddie D. Smith officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Eva Lene Jackson was born October 28, 1941 to the late Mrs. George Ann Barnes May and the late Mr. Will May of Washington County, Georgia. At an early age, Mrs. Eva Jackson was educated at (Bomb) Gardner's School under the leadership of Mr. Radford and later the Thomas Jefferson School . She attended the New Hope Hodges Hill. Mr. Jimmy Dred Swint, affectionately known as "Dred", transitioned from this life to his eternal home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Cecil Moore will officiate. Dred was born July 30, 1930 to the parentage of the late Mrs. Charlotte Hood-Swint and the late Mr. Harvey Swint.
