Mr. Sammy Lee "Blue" Curry departed his life on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016, 2 p.m. at Georgia Grove Baptist Church in Tennille, Georgia with interment in the church's cemetery. Rev. Roy Grissom will officiate. Sister Vanilla Bell Sparks, 88, departed this life on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Old Capitol Nursing Home in Louisville, Georgia. Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Middle Hill Missionary Baptist Church with interment in the church's cemetery. She was born in Washington County near Warthen, Georgia on June 1, 1928 to Mattie Bell Sparks. She was raised by her grandparents, George Sparks and Hattie “Nan” Sparks.
